Plus And Minus Of Class B Fire Alarm System
New inventions and the growth of technology produce many kinds of fire protection techniques. As building owner has awareness about having a safety system in their building, it’s important to know about fire protection systems. One of them is the class b fire alarm system.
What Is Class B Fire Alarm System
A fire alarm system could detect fire and make a warning. Early warning dedicated to the occupants of the building, so that they can move quickly to leave the building. Many wildfire victims are those who got a late warning. The victim could be avoided by the application of a fire system.
There are many kinds of fire alarm system classification. One of the classifications is based on the circuit of the fire alarm equipment. This classification has two systems, named class A and class B fire alarm system.
The fire alarm system is the linked combination of wire, detector, alarm, and the panel named EOL (End of Line). The detectors connected one another with wire, and they connected to an EOL. The difference between them is in the class B system, the EOL located at the end of the detector and wire chain. While in class A, both the base and end of the chain connected to EOL.
Maintenance Is A Part Of The System
Both classes A and B fire alarm system applies to many building. They are proven can save lives and decrease lose as the effect of wildfire. But as usual, there always plus and minus side of a system.
Applying a fire protection system is an effort at the beginning of building history. It designed together with the building itself to make them integrated. But after that, when occupation starts to live in, the maintenance is an effort, too. Some building has no engineer that has a job to do the maintenance. But as there are so many maintenance jobs, the fire protection system may break without known. For example, a broken wire.
A broken wire could make the communication between detectors stopped. If this situation happens, in the class B fire alarm system, it will make the communication to EOL stopped, too. So that although fire got bigger, the alarm won’t give warning. This because in the class B system, the communication between detectors happens in a line. Broken wire in any part of the chain will stop this communication. A building that uses class B system should check the circuit regularly to make sure all of the equipment in proper condition.
This system will be useful if always keep in proper condition. The occupant could take part by never do anything to the fire alarm system. When they see something unusual about the circuit of the fire alarm system, they should call the engineer so that they could check and fix it soon.
Applying a fire alarm system is must do in the building with the occupant or burnable materials in it. Class B fire alarm system could be a choice but should follow with proper maintenance to keep it work. Contact us or leave a comment if you need more information or help in this system.
