PT. Totalfire Indonesia

Service & Maintenance

We accept service and maintenance. We offer quarterly, bi-annual, and annual plans to ease your worries about your fire alarm or sprinkler system. We test and inspect your fire protection systems and complete any repairs required to keep you, your assets and building safe. Let our company be a valuable partner of your Life Safety Team!

Why is Fire Protection System Service & Maintenance Mandatory?

A fire protection system installed in your building is not something that can be left alone. Unlike other equipment that shows obvious signs of wear, fire systems such as sprinklers, alarms, and hydrants operate in a “silent standby” mode for years without ever being used. This is precisely where the risk lies: small, undetected faults can cause the entire system to fail at the moment it is needed most.

Furthermore, fire protection regulations in Indonesia mandate that building owners and managers ensure their fire systems are always in a functional state. This obligation is regulated under the Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 26 of 2008 and is a requirement for the issuance and renewal of the Sertifikat Laik Fungsi (SLF) or Certificate of Occupancy. In short, maintenance is not just about safety—it is a matter of legal compliance.

The right agent depends on occupancy (is the space normally occupied?), required suppression speed, environmental policy, and available storage space. Our engineers assess all four factors and recommend the optimal agent for your application — free of charge as part of our initial consultation.

Totalfire Indonesia Service & Maintenance Solutions

PT Totalfire Indonesia provides comprehensive service and maintenance for all types of fire protection systems, whether installed by Totalfire or other contractors. Our team of NFPA-certified technicians, with experience dating back to 2005, is ready to ensure every component of your system functions according to national (SNI) and international standards.

We offer three maintenance packages tailored to your building’s needs and scale:

Package Visit Frequency Best For
Quarterly 4x per year (every 3 months) High-risk buildings: factories, warehouses, data centers, hospitals
Bi-Annual 2x per year (every 6 months) Office buildings, shopping centers, star-rated hotels
Annual 1x per year High-rise residential, medium-scale commercial buildings

Each package includes a thorough inspection, functional testing, and necessary component repairs. All inspection results are documented in an official technical report that serves as proof of regulatory compliance.

Systems We Handle

The Totalfire service team possesses full competence in handling all types of fire protection systems commonly used in commercial and industrial settings.

Fire Sprinkler System

Sprinklers are the frontline of automatic suppression. We perform sprinkler head inspections, flow switch testing, pipe pressure checks, and replacement of components that have exceeded their service life. A fire sprinkler system without routine maintenance risks pipe corrosion, blockages, or head failure when critical temperatures are reached.

Fire Hydrant System

Hydrants require consistent water pressure and prime mechanical components. Our services include testing hydrant pumps (jockey, main, and diesel pumps), inspecting valves and hoses, and periodic pipe flushing. A fire hydrant system that is not regularly tested can fail during an emergency due to hardened seals or non-responsive pumps.

Fire Alarm System

The alarm system provides the vital early warning. We calibrate smoke and heat detectors, test control panels (FACP/MCFA), conduct alarm sound tests, and replace backup batteries. Based on prevailing standards, fire alarm service is recommended at least once a year for systems under 10 years old, and more frequently for older systems.

Gaseous Fire Suppression System

Gas suppression systems such as FM-200, Novec 1230, CO2, and Inert Gas are used in critical areas like data centers, server rooms, and electrical panels. Maintenance includes cylinder pressure checks, nozzle inspections, integrated detection system testing, and verification of extinguishing agent concentration according to NFPA standards.

Portable Fire Extinguishers (APAR)

Extinguishers are the most frequently used first line of defense. We check pressure levels, agent expiration dates, safety pins, and instruction labels. Expired or leaking extinguishers must be refilled or replaced immediately so they do not become useless during an emergency.

Totalfire Service Workflow

Every service and maintenance visit by the Totalfire team follows a standardized, accountable procedure:

  1. Scheduling and Coordination: We contact building management to agree on a visit schedule that does not disrupt operations, coordinated at least 3 days in advance.
  2. Visual and Physical Inspection: Technicians perform a visual check of all components, looking for corrosion, leaks, proper labeling, and positioning.
  3. Functional Testing: All systems are actively tested according to standard procedures, including pressure tests, alarm triggers, and water flow simulations.
  4. On-Site Repairs: Minor issues like replacing seals, batteries, or small valves are resolved immediately. Major repairs involving significant spare parts are communicated to the client first.
  5. Written Technical Report: At the end of each visit, the client receives an official report documenting findings, actions taken, further recommendations, and system status for SLF support.

FAQ: Fire System Service & Maintenance

How often should fire protection systems be serviced?

Ideal frequency depends on the system type and building risk. Generally, fire alarms and extinguishers should be checked annually, while sprinklers and hydrants should be inspected every 3 to 6 months for high-activity buildings, following NFPA and Indonesian regulations.

Can Totalfire service systems not installed by them?

Yes. Our team is experienced in handling various brands and configurations. We typically perform an initial assessment to understand your existing system before starting a maintenance plan.

What happens if damage is found during inspection?

Minor repairs are handled on-site. For major issues or specific spare part requirements, we provide a written report and a cost estimate for approval before proceeding with the work.

Is Totalfire's maintenance report valid for SLF purposes?

Yes. The official technical reports we issue document the system’s condition and compliance, which are essential supporting documents for the issuance or renewal of the building’s Certificate of Occupancy (SLF).

How do I start a maintenance contract with Totalfire?

Simply contact us via the “Request for Quote” form on this page, or reach out via phone, WhatsApp, or email. Our team will schedule an initial survey to assess your system and provide a customized proposal.
